How about we look at it from another angle. If you are a parent, you will have had those moments where you think to yourself ‘Oh I wish I was writing this down somewhere’.
Your child has just dome something so endearing, hilarious, naughty or beautiful that it makes your heart swell and you want to capture that moment in time.
That is what Umeus is for. Write it, photo it, video it and then attach it to your child on this date at this location and you have started the timeline of your child’s life. Not only that, share it with Grandpa and he can add his comment too.

But why stop there? What about all those craft items that they bring home from pre-school that get stuffed in drawers to be thrown out years later. Snap a photo and put it in Umeus (and then quietly send the original to craft heaven). What about school results - with Umeus there are pre-defined event formats - so you select an education event of type school report and enter your child’s grades - snap a photo if you like too. Now its there - forever. Easy to compare when the next one comes in. What if your child is ill? Take a photo of those spots, create a medical illness event, log the symptoms and then when necessary head to the doctor armed with all the information. Log a doctor visit event and note down what the doctor said and what was prescribed. Now you have a full compendium of your child’s medical history - easily retrieved at any time.

Hang on - if you are not a parent, don’t leave us yet. Umeus is for you too! Heading out on a date with that guy - log a date event and record what it was like - who knows, if you end up marrying him, those comments could be gold for the wedding speeches! Going to the movies, (and you are a bit of a movie nerd), create a movie event, pop in some basic details and give it a score.   Feeling like you need to write in your journal? Umeus can do that too! Create a diary entry - its private - your eyes only.   As you can see - whether its a wedding or bahmitzvah, gallstones or chickenpox, an A+ or winning the 100m, it can all go into Umeus, to be shared if you want with who you want or kept very private.

But wait....there’s more.... Are you starting to think about what you will leave behind when you are no longer on this earth? What if you started a video diary of your life - recording your memories, talking about the time before that parking lot was on top of the old cinema and when bread of 50c a loaf.
